Jack Petchey Achievement and Leadership Award Winners
Published: Fri 30 January 2026Four amazing ICS students: Luis, Shumaylah, David and Arissa, were proud to be recognised with Jack Petchey Achievement Awards, celebrating their dedication, leadership and positive contribution to the school community. The awards highlight individuals who go above and beyond to support others and make a meaningful difference within the sixth form.
Luis, Head of Debate Society, won this prestigious award due to his ability to embody intellectual curiosity and his dedication to personal development. He possesses an ‘opt-in’ attitude – ready to participate in any opportunity that comes his way.
Shumaylah, Head of Environment, is the embodiment of ICS’ A.R.T (altruism, respect, tenacity) values. She constantly dedicates her time to Super Curricular enrichment and her passions, which is truly admirable.
David, Head of MDV, persistently displays academic progress throughout all his subjects and shows qualities of effectiveness and dedication as a leader. He refuses to do the bare-minimum, and instead transcends all expectations .
Arissa is the embodiment of intellectual curiosity and shows an exemplary approach in the way she navigates her learning. Her love for learning always manages to shine through no matter what she is doing.
Additionally, ICS’s very special Miss Norman won the Jack Petchey Leadership Award! Miss Norman always goes above and beyond to make our community well coordinated and a wonderful environment to be in. Her positivity and contagious enthusiasm lights up the sixth form and all the students and staff are immensely grateful to have her around!
All the award winners received their award on Monday during the Jack Petchey Awards at the Islington town hall.
