His session offered invaluable advice on the Cambridge application process, providing a clear and detailed roadmap for students aspiring to secure a place at one of the world’s most prestigious universities. He shared insights into crafting a compelling personal statement, highlighting the importance of demonstrating genuine passion and intellectual curiosity. Additionally, he explained what interviewers are looking for, shedding light on how students can effectively showcase their abilities during the admissions process.
The talk was both enlightening and reassuring, helping to demystify what is often seen as a daunting process. Professor Caulfield’s guidance left students feeling more confident and better equipped to take on the challenge of applying to Cambridge. His advice not only addressed practical elements of the application but also encouraged students to reflect on their academic goals and ambitions.
Following the main session, our Further Mathematics class had the privilege of engaging in an exclusive session with Professor Caulfield. This workshop offered a unique glimpse into the study of Mathematics at university level. Professor Caulfield shared fascinating insights into the depth and complexity of the subject as it is taught at Cambridge, exploring advanced concepts and the intellectual challenges that students can anticipate.
The visit was an extraordinary opportunity for our students, providing both inspiration and practical guidance. Professor Caulfield’s expertise and enthusiasm left a lasting impression, motivating our Year 12s to strive for excellence and aim high in their academic pursuits.
